Well, beginning later this year, people who continue to login to Microsoft Teams and other web services using the latest version of Internet Explorer will start to see a downgraded experience at best – or be unable to use any of these services at worst. And beginning August 17, 2021, the remaining Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support IE 11." Beginning November 30, 2020, the Microsoft Teams web app will no longer support IE 11. In a statement on the TechCommunity blog, the company confirmed: "Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) by this time next year. As well as Internet Explorer, often stylised as IE by Microsoft, the US firm will be slowly removing support for the original July 2015-iteration of Edge too. So it makes sense that Microsoft would now look to spring-clean some of its legacy web browsers. Microsoft Edge is seen as a fresh start in the company’s web browser space. With Microsoft Edge now being the company’s default browser since 2015, it didn’t make sense to have two browsers being installed concurrently on Windows 10, even though Internet Explorer is officially retiring next year. Its Insider developer build version 21387 states that ‘The Internet Explorer 11 desktop application is now retired as of this Insider Preview build.’
